Bee Knowledge
We love to share everything we know about bees..... And we are always learning.
If you have a group or club, young or old that would like a tour of one of our apiaries in Yardley Borough, Perkasie, PA or at Solly's Brother's Farm, please feel free to reach out. We would love to show you and talk about all things bees. If we plan it just right, you might even get to spin honey in our Honey Hut.
Bee Swarms and Bee Removal
This photo is an example of a typical honey bee swarm that has landed. Swarms like this cluster around the queen to protect her until the scouts come back to the "hive" and tell them where their new home is.
If you happen to find one of these clusters on your property, just give us a call and we will help you relocate them. Unfortunately, I am NOT bonded nor insured for cut away jobs. If they are hanging freely on a fence post, in a tree or on a bush, please feel free to reach out. Often times we can arrive within a short amount of time. And a picture always helps to confirm that you do in fact have honey bees that need help.
Sorry, we only remove honey bees. Wasps, yellow jackets and other flying insects aren't something we can help with.
Need pollinators?
This spring we were approached by Solly's Brothers Farm about pollinating their orchards. It is so rewarding going up to the farm and seeing the fruit laden trees.
Please keep us in mind if you or someone you know needs some pollinators. We have several hives being hosted by local families.
